FAQ
Is IndieShelf free?
Yes. Submitting and browsing are free. There are no paid placement options in v1.
Do I need to link back?
No. A backlink is never required, and we do not reject listings for missing one.
Is email required?
No. Email is optional and only used for listing or review updates. It is never shown publicly.
Is my revenue shown publicly?
No. Acquisition channels, revenue band, tech stack, and launch month stay private. We only use them for anonymous industry stats.
What is Verified insight?
When a maker privately shares at least one acquisition channel and a revenue band, the listing can show a Verified insight badge. It is not a revenue audit.
How does ranking work?
Default sort prefers Verified insight, then known pricing, then extra private enrich fields, then newest. You can switch to Newest. See About for the formula.
Is there a weekly email?
No. New website launches are published as on-site weekly pages only.
Do you guarantee traffic?
No. Listing on IndieShelf does not guarantee traffic, rankings, or leads.
